Before discovering her passion for dentistry, Dr. Zhou was an accomplished scientist, earning a Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Toxicology. Her research at the University of Texas Medical Branch focused on the complex ways Estrogen affects gene expression in the brain, work that honored her analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

It was in the laboratory, often working for hours under a microscope, that Dr. Zhou developed the steady hands and precision that are the hallmarks of her dental care today. Driven by a desire to apply her scientific expertise in a more direct, personal way, she pursued her dream at NYU College of Dentistry. She further refined her skills during a residency in dental medicine at Jamaica Hospital, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of her patients’ overall health.

Committed to providing the highest quality care, Dr. Zhou opened Blue Bay Dental in 2010, followed by a second location in 2018. She is well known and deeply trusted in the Flushing community, respected for her knowledge, skill, and personable nature.

When she’s not creating healthy, beautiful smiles, Dr. Zhou enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Her love for precision and artistry extends to her personal life, where she enjoys dance performances, running, hiking, reading, and writing.
